Leave Barcelona in the early morning (9am) and travel by air-conditioned mini-van to Vic, at the heart of Catalonia, about 1hour away from Barcelona.
Discover the ancient settlement of Vic. Your expert guide will share with you the history of the old center of the town: see its cathedral (a mixture of styles ranging from Romanesque to neoclassical), its magnificent renaissance and baroque buildings and a beautiful arched square where the weekly market and other major events are held.
The old quarter of Vic fills with craftspeople, masters of old trades demonstrating their arts, tightrope walkers, troubadours and other elements and attractions from the medieval repertoire. The busy streets, decorated to give them a 14th-century atmosphere, the smells and the music of other times transport visitors to the heart of a very lively popular festival, full of activities for children and with constant surprises for adults.
Thus, your local guide will explain you legends about the old times in Vic, while walking along its narrow streets and stopping at very interesting market stalls.
Later on, you will have a chance to stroll around the town, mingle between locals, taste local food in any of the boutiques decorated specially for the Medieval fair or relax while having brunch in the heart of the town.
The day finishes with the opportunity to taste local sausages. Vic is famous for its delicious meet and the way they cook it. So, be prepared to taste Vic’s delicatessen!
We will return, arriving in Barcelona at about 3pm.
