Live a unique opportunity. Learn about this time-honored Catalan tradition and watch the community performing in a realhuman towers session! Castells (or human towers) have existed for over two hundred years and today it is still the liveliest popular expression of Catalan culture. This is a unique practice in the world and UNESCO has declared it Intangible World Heritage. You will see the community performing and meet more than 200 castellers. Become a human tower builder for a day and understand how important courage, teamwork, spirit of improvement and teammate’s confidence is. Later on, have a go yourself; since it is an activity in which you can actively participate as one of them! It is a lifetime experience!! Later on leave Vilafranca and travel to the medieval town of Montblanc, which historic center lies within its impressive defensive walls. Enter to the old town through the Bover tower, a well preserved defensivegate. Your experienced guide will explain the history and secrets of medieval Montblanc while wandering around the old streets. Admire the 13th and 14th century buildings as you walk and stroll along the Spanish promenade and Plaça Major. Reach the St Jordi gate, while your expert guide shares with you the authentic legend of Saint George, who killed the fiery Dragon for love. Do not miss the Gothic church of Santa Maria with its ornate facade and Jaw’s street, which is part of the Jewish quarter.
